What to read next, that is the question . . . And we have the answer - Bookletters!
This service, funded by a donation from the Rock Island Public Library Foundation, will keep you connected to books, DVDs and audio books. To get started, click on the book cover images, or go to Books & More or Good Reads to sign up for newsletters by e-mail.
Both our 30/31 and Southwest Branches offer a range of materials for
children and adults, along with Internet and WiFi access for computer users. Self-checkout machines are also available at each location for your convenience.
Looking for something specific? Branch staff will be happy to show you how to use the "place holds" feature on the Prairie Cat online catalog to have the materials you want sent to your branch for convenient pick up. You may return materials checked out from any Quad City area public library at our branches, too.
Reference Services are available at our downtown location only.
Our 30/31 Branch also holds a full-time Friends of the Rock Island Library B
ookstore, where you'll find great bargains on used books, magazines and more. Visit anytime during regular branch hours. Sales benefit library programs. You may also donate gently used books and magazines to the bookstore for resale. To donate, just bring them to a Friends Bookstore volunteer.
