This year's Frieze Lecture Series celebrates the 150th anniversary of Augustana College. The annual lecture series partnership allows library guests to explore fascinating topics from Augustana College lecturers without tests or grades! On Oct. 28, Roald Tweet, emeritus professor of English, will speak on "Ivory Tower or Front Porch?" Tweet's lecture looks at the relationship between the college and its community. Each free lecture starts at 2 p.m. at the Rock Island Main Library, and includes coffee and conversation afterwards.

The 13th annual series is presented Thursday, Oct. 21 and 28 and Nov. 4 and 11.
