Rock Island Public Library

Artist Mardi Howell will host a public reception for the opening of her new art show at the Rock Island Public Library on Thursday, July 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The reception, at the Rock Island Main Library downtown, celebrates the opening of her show, "Where I've Been." The short retrospective features representations of her works over the past eight years, in styles ranging from studies of the masters, still lives and her latest, more contemporary works, including abstracts.

The reception is free and open to the public. Her show at the library is open for viewing during library hours and runs from July 6 through August 30.
