Start: Jul 3 2010 - 6:00pm End: Jul 3 2010 - 8:30pm Paint for Pages, a special art reception & silent auction, will raise funds for the Lorene Evans Watts Memorial Fund for Children's Materials on Saturday, July 3 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., in the Rock Island Main Library's Community Room and art gallery. Mrs. Watts, a long-time teacher, artist and children's advocate, served on the Rock Island Library Board of Trustees. In addition to showing Mrs. Watts' artwork, the night will feature sales of artwork by local and family artists, as well as light refreshments, a silent auction and an autograph session with former AFL player Booker Edgerson, a Rock Island native. The special after-hours event is from6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rock Island Public Library Community Room and art gallery on the 2nd floor.
All monies raised will go to the Lorene Evans Watts Memorial Fund for Children’s Materials set up through the Rock Island Public Library Foundation.
