Start: Aug 26 2010 - 5:30pm End: Aug 26 2010 - 7:00pm The Rock Island Library’s HUG-A-Book reading event is Thursday, August 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Main Library Community Room at 401 19th Street. HUG-A-Book is an annual early learning program for children ages two to five and their families. Each child gets a new, free book of their very own to hug and take home, courtesy of the Merrill Harris memorial fund of the Rock Island Public Library Foundation. Children and their families can come meet our costumed characters, hear a story or two, sing a song, make some crafts and get a free book. The event is free.
