Did you buy or receive a new e-reader or smart phone recently? Just thinking about it? You now have more choices than ever, with many new devices that are compatible with free library download subscriptions.  You can download library books to an e-reader or audio player.

Rock Island Library subscribes to the OverDrive digital media collection with more than 2,300 digital audio and e-book titles. More titles are more added each month.  Our OverDrive Advantage membership gives Rock Island cardholders exclusive rights to additional titles, along with access to the remainder of the titles in the Omni Libraries download catalog for OverDrive.

E-books are digital versions of published books, downloadable to several devices, including smartphones, e-readers, laptop computers and other portable devices.  OverDrive is compatible with both PC and MAC. Great news: Kindle and OverDrive are now compatible!
