Art Show: Recent Works of Corrine Smith

Exhibit title: CORRINE SMITH: RECENT WORKCorrine Smith painting

November 2 - December 29, 2010
Smith teaches Studio Art at Augustana College and is the Director & Instructor for the Kaleidoscope children's art program.
 
Her work consists of mixed media collage works created using layers of acrylic paint and handmade papers.  Her compositions are a contemporary blend of stylized organic and geometric shapes, rich in color and texture.
 
The exhibit is open for viewing during regular library hours.

Friends of Library program meeting

The Friends of the Rock Island Library meet at 11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Rock Island, corner of 31st Avenue and 30th Street. Lunch is $6. Reservations required. Call Sue Bjorkman, 786-5909.
