- Connect to live tutors, submit papers for writing feedback, create flashcards, create videos, meet with your classmates online, and get personalized learning plans. There's a parent corner, too!
- Adult Learners - use the HelpNow Adult Learning Center to prepare for GED or citizenship tests, brush up on an academic skill, or even build skills with using Microsoft Office products.

- Sign up for 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten or create an account on Beanstack to track what you read and build a feeling of accomplishment.
- And remember, we offer a wide variety of books and magazines for children to check out. Finding a subject or format that interests your child is a great start!
Need to find a source or citation for a paper?
- First Search - Search hundreds of magazines and libraries worldwide for articles and other materials. A username and password are required. Contact the Rock Island Public Library Reference desk for more information.
- IssueLab - IssueLab provides access to resources analyzing the world's most pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges and their potential solutions. Offered by the Foundation Directory Online.
- MasterFile Premier - Journal and magazine abstracts and full-text articles from over 1,700 periodicals.
A Rock Island Library card in good standing is required to access these tools from a home Internet connection. They're also available from Rock Island Public Library personal computers. To access a personal computer at the library, you will need a current library card from an area library.
