Guides, and great reading ideas, too, will also be available at our free Summer Kickoff on June 1, at the Quad City Botanical Center. While you're at our fun Read Beyond the Beaten Path kickoff, you'll want to register for our Summer Reading Challenge, get your Summer Reader Camp Patch, and pick up your Summer Reader Yard Sign, while supplies last. The book mobile will be at the kickoff, and we'll have camp snacks and free activities from the Library, the Quad City Botanical Center, Rock Island Parks & Recreation Department, Spring Forward Learning Center, Metro, Nahant Marsh, the Army Corps of Engineeers, Rock Island County Soil and Water Conservation District, and the Illinois Extension Service. You'll also be able to roam the grounds of the Botanical Center at no cost!

This event is for all ages, just as Summer Reading is for all ages!
