Event Details
Celebrate the freedom to read wtih community readings of books that have been banned (removed from shelves in a particular community) or challenged for their right to be available to those who want to read them.
- Social Time: 5:30 pm
- Student Film: 5:45 pm
- Community Readings: 6 pm to 8 pm
Event includes refreshments and prize drawings, as well as a special guest, intellectual freedom pioneer Steven Pico. In 1977, he served as the plaintiff in a critically-important case ruling, Board of Education vs. Pico. Mr. Pico's attendance is made possible by a partnership with Augustana College.
