Youth Services staff visits Rock Island/Milan schools to promote literacy.

Young children and their caregivers are invited to enjoy this story time full of books, action rhymes and songs.

Families are invited to enjoy story time full of books, action rhymes, songs and a simple craft.

Youth Services staff will be reading and sharing literacy activities with the RIMSD Head Start and Preschool for All classes.

After school activities every week on Tuesday (Watts-Midtown) and Thursday (Southwest) for school age kids (K-6). 

This week we will be making bag puppets!!!

The State Treasurer is holding 2.5 billion dollars in unclaimed funds for Illinoisans. The State holds these lost funds until they are claimed by either the original owner or their heirs.

Our annual "read-in" of books and other works that have been banned (removed from shelves) or challenged (reclassified, moved, or questioned for the right to be freely available.) 5:30 pm is for snacks and mingling, with readings starting at 6 pm.
