Event Details

The Rock Island Public Library and Midwest Writing Center proudly present the annual "Banned Books Week Reading," featuring area librarians, educators, and supporters of First Amendment rights. Doors will open at 5:30pm for networking, snacks, and conversation. The readings will begin promptly at 6pm. This year, the event will be held in the auditorium of the Watts-Midtown Branch, and also live-streamed on the library's Facebook page. There's never been a better time to show your support for libraries, literature, and freedom of speech.
