Program Description

Event Details

For more than 150 years notable architects from the city of jaw-dropping architecture brought their vision, creativity and inspiration to our downtowns and neighborhoods.  They designed theatres, department stores, banks, office towers, churches, civic buildings, some of our homes and even a cemetery.  Their creations reflected the many architectural styles and trends that spread across America through the centuries.  The legacy these architects left behind helped to create the spirit of this place we call home.

Join Ellen Shapley, a QC native, architectural historian and former tour guide for the Chicago Architectural Center, as she shares her discoveries and reveals some intriguing “untold” QC stories.
