Georgia O’Keeffe’s World: Focused on Nature, the early years at Lake George and New York with Alfred Stieglitz.

Georgia O’Keeffe is an artist who has changed the way we look at things. The program explores the connection between O’Keeffe’s art and her time at Lake George the family estate of Alfred Stieglitz whom she married in 1924. O’Keeffe subject lead and follow the photography of Stieglitz while they live in New York and summer at Lake George. Her close up and magnified flower, leaf and landscape paintings forever affect the way we look at nature. Program is a good introduction to the exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago, Georgia O’Keeffe: “My New York”, which opens June 2-Sept 22, 2024 (Member Preview May 30-June1, 2024).
