"Literary Leaves"

Leaves: pages in a book and foliage on a tree, both to be found at our library! This oil pastel workshop will use some unusual-looking leaves from a tree outside our library as the subject for a Georgia O'Keeffe- inspired art class. Known primarily for her paintings of large flowers and cattle skulls, O'Keeffe also painted a series of large leaves. Art teacher Gloria Burlingame will introduce you to Georgia's work and show you a "dry" blending technique to use  for your own colorful and leafy masterpiece.
