Mental Health Program ARPA
This program is made possible by ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) funds designated by the City of Rock Island.
In recognition of May as Mental Health Awareness Month, join us for an engaging overview of mental health presented by Transitions Mental Health Services. Participants will examine common mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders, gaining valuable insights into how these conditions impact individuals and families.
The session will cover various treatment options, including therapy, medication, and community supports, focusing on reducing barriers to care. Participants will also learn how to identify when someone might need extra support or crisis intervention.
The presentation ends with practical everyday wellness techniques that boost resilience and mental health. Created for a broad audience, this session seeks to decrease stigma, enhance understanding, and empower people to support themselves and others.
