Event Details

Rock Island Public Library locations (Downtown, Southwest Branch, Watts-Midtown Branch) will again serve as a drop-off points for community food donations to the MLK Food Drive, coordinated by ARC of the Quad Cities and the Quad City Disabilities Awareness Coalition. To address food insecurity and create inclusive volunteer opportunities for all, the food drive will be collecting non-perishable food donations at 33 sites around the Illlinois and Iowa Quad Cities. 

To donate, look for the marked boxes at library locations. High demand items include: 

  • Canned meat and high-protein items
  • Canned fruits and vegetables
  • Carbohydrates
  • Allergy-friendly products
