International Harvestor -- Farmall is Rock Island

   If there ever was a tractor that could call Rock Island its home, it was International Harvester’s Farmall tractor, manufactured here from 1926 until May 14, 1985.
   This afternoon, you are invited to the Downtown library’s Community Room at 2:00 o’clock to look back at a bit of Rock Island's history as we look at the Farmall tractor’s contribution to our city’s past. See a 1930s video of all the McCormick Deering Farmall tractor's built by International Harvester, then review the complicated history of the IH Company, and, finally, take a nostalgic trip through the Farmall plant before it was torn down.
   All are welcome to enjoy this look back at an important epoch in our local history.
