Join our PALS!

PALS is a volunteer organization formed under the Rock Island Public Library Foundation. You'll find our PALS working at monthly book sales, speaking up for the value of our library to the community, and helping with programs.

A PALS membership is a long-term way to advocate for the value of the library, and to provide sustaining support for fine-free lending, special programs, and events at RIPL.  PALS dues and fundraising efforts are managed by the Rock Island Public Library Foundation, a 501c3 charitable organization. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. (Please check with your advisor for details.) 

2023 sales raised about $6,000 to support fine-free lending and other special projects at the Rock Island Public Library.Our 2024 sales are the 4th Friday and Saturday of January, April, July, and October. 

If you're the organized type, and would like to help schedule book sale volunteers, that would be great! Or maybe there's something else you'd like to help with. Just let us know.
