Event Details

In celebration of its 160th anniversary, come learn about the history of the Rock Island Arsenal from Army Sustainment Command historians.  The series kicks off with a presentation on  The Battle of the Rock Island Rapids.  We’ll be talking about the War of 1812 and the local conflicts that broke out during the war on the Mississippi River.

This program is jointly hosted by the Rock Island Public Library and the Davenport Public Library. If you are unable to attend Rock Island Public Library's session, another session will be offered later in the day at 6pm at the Downtown Davenport Public Library.
