Watts-Midtown Driveway Work

Work begins soon on repairing the driveway leading into our Watts-Midtown Branch and the RI YMCA. When weather allows work to start, please note that there will be only one lane in and out of the parking lot. Please alternate when entering or leaving the lot, and note that there is no left hand turn onto the drive off 30th Street. 

Remember that you can return items to any Rock Island Library, even if it was checked out at the branch. Thank you for your patience as the YMCA repairs this driveway.

Event Details

Our new Fall bookmobile schedule starts Monday, July 31st, and runs through Friday, December 15th. We are fully open for entry and browsing.

You can also continue to pick up holds and have us choose items for you with Mobile Library2Go Curbside or select another location for pick up on a different day, or call Carol Anne (309-732-7335) for homebound delivery! 

Curbside service: Place an item on hold and we will call you when your item is ready. We will schedule an appointment with you at the stop you prefer! Then simply drive to your stop at the set time, call the number on our sign (309-989-5450) and let us load your items into your car.

Reminder: All Rock Island Libraries will be CLOSED on Monday, 8/21/2023 for Staff Training; Monday, Labor Day, 9/4/2023 and on Thursday and Friday, November 23rd and 24th for Thanksgiving. The Bookmobile will not run the week of Thanksgiving for its annual maintenance.

School stops begin on Tuesday, August 8th.
