Watts-Midtown Driveway Work

Work began this morning on repairing the driveway leading into our Watts-Midtown Branch and the RI YMCA. Please note that there is one lane in and out of the parking lot. Please alternate when entering or leaving the lot, and note that there is no left hand turn onto the drive off 30th Street. 

Remember that you can return items to any Rock Island Library, even if it was checked out at the branch. Miss Ranell's Friday storytime will move to our Downtown Children's Library for Friday. Thank you for your patience as the YMCA repairs this driveway.

Event Details

Our new Summer bookmobile schedule starts Wednesday, May 24th, and runs through August 4th. We are fully open for entry and browsing, masks encouraged, but not required.

You can also continue to pick up holds and have us choose items for you with Mobile Library2Go Curbside on Thursdays, select another location for pick up on a different day, or call Carol Anne (309-732-7335) for homebound delivery! 

Curbside service: Place an item on hold and we will call you when your item is ready. We will schedule an appointment with you at the stop you prefer! Then simply drive to your stop at the set time, call the number on our sign (309-989-5450) and let us load your items into your car.

Reminder: All Rock Island Libraries will be CLOSED on Monday, Memorial Day, 5/29/2023 and on Tuesday, Independence Day, 4th of July, 7/4/2023

The Fall/Winter schedule will begin on Monday, August 8th - which will include some school stops.
