All Rock Island Public Library buildings and bookmobile routes are closed Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth. Visit us online or see us during regular hours on Friday! 

Big News! Downtown Restroom Renovation

1st floor restrooms (on the main floor) of our Downtown Library will be unavailable for a few months due to major renovations.

Ground Floor restrooms (off the accessible entrance and Children's Room) and 2nd floor public restrooms will be available during all library hours. 

Microfilm services are available on the table across from the Reference Desk.

Join in for part two of this 6 part series titled "Why, Black History?".

Today's program is titled "Community Conversations" and participants can expect to learn and discuss in a group setting. Today's conversation will be facilitated by Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Walls & Friends. This event is open to everyone but is best suited for participants aged 10 through adulthood.

Topics: Where did we come from? How did we end up here? Freedom AND justice? AND other topics you want to explore.

Registration is not required, but those who do register will receive email reminders 48 hours prior to this event.
